6:30pm: Gathering at the Lobster bar and grill: in the lobby of the Shangri La.
7:30pm: Move to Formal Hall to talk business
9:30pm: Finish dis1cussion and head back to the lobster bar for drinks and socializing.
The Asia English Business Network
The Asia English Business Network is a group of English Speaking business owners and professionals who are looking to grow within their asian community. Thru events, meetings, programs, lead exchange and network recourses, our members will have the opportunity to grow within their community and have a edge on their competition.
As a member of the Asia English Business Network, you have an opportunity to be on the ground floor of asian business and politics, and have a resource of your fellow members to rely on to aid in your business growth.
Meetings at the Asia English Business Network are relaxed, but follow a specific guideline. Every attendee is given his or her opportunity to speak to the group. You can talk to everyone and explain what it is your do, and ask for customers or help form the group. The group then has the obligation and opportunity to provide you with help if they can. The object of the AEBN is to allow for a open exchange of ideas, so that we all have the chance to help each other and grow.
We are all only as strong as those around us, and by establishing a strong group of fellow businesses, we ensure our continued success in china.

First, Thank you all for voting for me in the poem competition for my rendition of “Shue Diao Ge Tou水调歌头”. I have passed on to the finals! I will be performing my poem on stage in front of the cameras and on Ningbo TV to be voted to win some special prizes. Thanks again for your votes.. it made all the difference! I wanted to start letting everyone know about the next meeting of the Asia English Business Network and taking reservations. As usual, it will be at the Shangri La Hotel, on Friday August 27th, starting at 6:30 pm and moving from there to our own meeting hall.
Please let me know as early as possible if you will be attending (IF YOU PLAN ON COMING TO THE EVENT, PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THE FOLOWING IN THE MESSAGE SUBJECT INTO AN EMAIL AND SEND BACK TO ME “I PLAN ON ATTENDING THE MEETING THIS FRIDAY August 27th” ), and let me know who you will be attending with. Forward this email to anyone that may be interested in the Asia English Network, and invite them to come! Our last meeting was fantastic (73 people)… and it just keeps getting better! I am getting calls and meeting people who have found work, jobs, partners, and other opportunities thru connections formed at the meeting every week.
As usual, let me describe the details of the next meeting…
Shangri La has graciously given us use their facilities, and as usual the meeting will open up at the Lobster Bar and Grill. Be sure to enter from the main inside entrance of the lobster bar, and check in with the AEBN representative to get your drink tickets. As usual, the meeting is FREE, but the only way it can stay free is if EVERYONE MUST purchases 2 discounted drinks at the door. Your mandatory 2 drink tickets (50RMB to be paid when you enter the event) can be used to purchase the following.
- Tea
- Draft Beer
- Orange Juice
- Red Wine
- White Wine
(Once you use your two promotional tickets, future drinks can be will be priced from the bar menu.)
You will receive an AEBN hand stamp at the door, and will be able to get your drinks from the inside main bar instead of from the outside bar. The outdoor area will be available to us as usual, as well as inside lounge. For the meeting itself, we will have the same elegant hall as the previous meeting. After the networking and topic of discussion is finished, we will have a chance to go back to the lobster bar and socialize.
I encourage you to bring products from your company to show to the other attendees; we will have ample room for you to set up.

Message from the Founder
When I was in the USA, I was a member of many networking groups. Not only did they provide me with leads that I earned a substantial profit from, but I made trusted partnerships with local businesses. It also helped me stay sharp, and continue to be motivated by surrounding myself with like minded people.
Now I am living in Ningbo, and I am organizing this group as a collaboration of all the positive elements from the groups I attended in the USA. I see a great need for this type of collaboration in china. Growth here is so great that we cannot overlook the fact that we are still a community.
I wanted to create
a community of our own, where we all can communicate in English and feel comfortable to ask questions and help each other.
